Ella Fontanals-Cisneros, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and art collector, has made significant contributions to the art world, particularly in Latin America, Europe and Miami. Her collection, started in the 1970s, includes diverse global artworks, with a focus on Latin American geometric abstract art and international video art.

She founded the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO) and Miami Art Central (MAC) to promote international art in Miami. Her humanitarian efforts include founding the Together Foundation, focusing on environmental and educational initiatives.

Fontanals-Cisneros has received several awards, including the Spectrum Philanthropy Award (2003), Visionary Award from the Museum of Arts & Design (2007), the Women Together Award (2008), and recognition from Miami Today’s 30 Legends (2013).
